IPEN SUPERINTENDENT Graduated in Metallic and Ceramic Materials Engineering from the Materials Engineering Department of the Federal University of São Carlos - UFSCar (1987), Wilson Aparecido Parejo Calvo holds a Master's and Doctor's degree in Nuclear Technology - Applications from the University of São Paulo - USP . He was Manager of the Radiation Technology Center (2001-2013) and Director of Administration and Infrastructure (2014-2016) of the Institute for Energy and Nuclear Research – IPEN/CNEN, and professor at the World Nuclear University School on Radiation Technologies (2012 WNU- RT School). Senior Technologist, professor and postgraduate advisor in the area of Nuclear Technology at IPEN/USP, project coordinator of the International Atomic Energy Agency - IAEA and Superintendent of IPEN (2017-2020), of the National Nuclear Energy Commission - CNEN. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of ABDAN, of the Advisory Board of ABENDI and of the International Irradiation Association (iiA); Vice-President of the Management Council of the Technological Base Incubator of São Paulo USP/IPEN-Cietec, has experience in the area of Nuclear Engineering, in Applications of Nuclear Techniques in Industry, Health, Agriculture and the Environment, with an emphasis on radioisotopes (radiotracers and sealed radioactive sources) and ionizing radiation (electron beam, X-ray and gamma). He is a fellow of CNPq - Productivity in Technological Development and Innovative Extension 2.
