EVENT SCHEDULE

NUCLEAR CHALLENGES AGENDA

FOOD IRRADIATION WILL OPEN

IN MARCH 2021 NUCLEAR AGENDA

The theme “Irradiation in Agriculture and Livestock will open, on March 25, the 2021 nuclear agenda of Casa Viva Eventos.

Also due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event will be 100% ONLINE and aims to discuss actions and measures necessary to enable and implement technology as a business in Brazil. Among the main potential customers of this activity are agribusiness and the area of medical and hospital equipment.

In the case of agribusiness, it is a sector that represents about 25% of the country's GDP and accounted for 43% of Brazilian exports in 2019. Irradiation eliminates bacteria and microorganisms harmful to health and increases the period of food preservation, bringing productivity gains to the production chain.

The event had been scheduled for early March, but due to uncertainty about Covid-19 vaccination, the date was changed to March 25, 2021.

Among the main topics of this agenda are:

· Irradiation Technology as Public Policy

· A viable business model for the country

· Technological Models most suitable for Brazil

· The vision of the productive sectors and users: food and fruit, refrigerators, packaging, hospital equipment, etc.

· Potential sources of funding

· “Cases” and international models

· Communication with society (labelling/nomenclature, irradiation in phytosanitary defense).
