CARLOS HENRIQUE DA COSTA MARIZ
MIX ENERGIA DIRECTOR Carlos Henrique da Costa Mariz – is an electrical engineer from UFPE and specialized in Automatic Engineering from the University of Toulouse – France. He is also a Master of Sciences – MSc in Systems Engineering from COPPE/UFRJ. He was CHESF's representative in the Brazilian Electric Sector Planning Group – Eletrobrás. Among other functions, he served as Energy Director of the Government of the State of Pernambuco, coordinating the implementation of the first wind turbine in Brazil, on the island of Fernando de Noronha, initiating wind generation in the country. Subsequently, he carried out work for several companies, including the development of the Suape Gas Thermoelectric Power Plants and the transmission system for the Touros wind farm, in Natal. He served as Chief Executive of Eletronuclear in the Northeast, with the mission of developing sites and promoting Nuclear Energy in the Northeast and in Brazil. He is currently an energy consultant and director of MIX Energia, in areas of interest such as Hydroelectricity, Thermal, Nuclear and Renewable Energy. It works, together with Fundação Getúlio Vargas of São Paulo, in the development of independent energy production systems, to supply consumers, using Solar-photovoltaic technology and water desalination systems. He is a member of the Pernambuco Academy of Engineering.
