In his naval career, he held several positions, including: Director of Trade Promotion at the Department of Defense Products, Ministry of Defense, commander of the 8th Naval District, Director of Education at the Navy, commander of the Naval School and Defense and Naval Attaché in the United Kingdom. United Kingdom, Sweden and Norway. In the operational sector of the Navy, he was commander of the tanker “Almirante Gastão Motta” and of the sweeper “Atalaia”. Of the courses carried out, the following stand out: Naval College, Naval School (undergraduate), Command and General Staff Course, Higher Naval Warfare Course and Maritime Policy and Strategy Course, at the Naval War College. He holds an MBA in International Management from the COPPEAD-UFRJ Institute and, abroad, he took the "Regular Course of Estado Mayor in the Armada de Chile.
